All myfelt products are handmade under fair and sustainable working conditions in our partner factory in Nepal. Find out more about the production process here.

All myfelt felt ball products are made from 100% pure and sustainable sheared wool from New Zealand. New Zealand shear wool is known worldwide for its highest quality and durability.

Based on our company philosophy of sustainability, all products are manufactured under fair and transparent working conditions in our manufactory in Nepal by adults, highly-trained in their handicraft – 100% free of child labour. We are currently the only manufacturer of felt and felt ball products in the world to be officially Fair Trade certified by GoodWeave International. GoodWeave's main goal since 1995 has been the elimination of child labour in the carpet industry and the compliance to excellent labour and environmental standards. Since 2014, we have been actively working with GoodWeave in Nepal to promote social and economic projects. Please click here for more information about the certification requirements.

We are the market leader in felt ball products. Our many years of experience in the production of handmade rugs means that our customers benefit from products of the highest quality, which we emphasise with our five-year guarantee - no ifs or buts. There are some key differences between an original myfelt product and similar, especially cheap, products:

• The highest wool density: This guarantees years of enjoyment from your felt ball rug. Cheap suppliers use less wool during the felting process, making the individual balls too soft and causing them to unravel after a few months.
• Double-sided use: You can turn all our products on either side as the top and bottom are identical. We have worked hard over many years to ensure that the strong threads we use to sew the felt balls together run through the centre. Cheaper products from other suppliers save time and cut corners by not running the black threads through the centre, creating an unattractive 'spider web' on the underside. These rugs cannot be used on both sides. You can turn over an original myfelt felt ball rug after many years and have the pleasure of discovering a completely new rug.
• Fairtrade certified: myfelt is currently the only felt ball rug manufacturer in the world to be officially certified by GoodWeave, which guarantees fair and socially sustainable production - 100% free of child labour. Each of our handmade rugs has a unique serial number that allows you to trace where and by whom your rug was made. In our Nepalese factory, we employ only well-trained adult artisans who are paid above-average wages.

You can choose your own custom size for rugs, seat pads and bench pads. Simply click on the size information for the product you are interested in, then click on the size box and enter your individual size. The price is calculated immediately and the product can be added directly to the shopping cart.

The myfelt configurator can also be used to design your very own myfelt felt ball rug. There are a number of colours and patterns to choose from, however we can make almost any design dream come true, so if you don't find it in the configurator, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via our contact form or call us on (+49) 030-71535795 from Monday to Friday from 11am to 6pm.

The balls on a myfelt rug are so densely felted that they give way very little and evenly, even under strong pressure. You can easily put heavy furniture on the rug without doing any permanent harm. The diameter of the furniture legs should be at least 1 to 2 cm. myfelt rugs are approximately 2 cm high.

Due to the weight of the rug and the texture of the floor, anti-slip pads are not usually needed. If your rug isn’t stable enough on the floor, we will gladly produce a perfectly fitting anti-slip pad for you. Contact us here for a non-binding quote.

Yes. All myfelt rugs are suitable for use on underfloor heating systems.

Should this case happen, send us an e-mail with a photo of the problem and the warranty card with the serial number of your rug. We will contact you shortly thereafter to discuss the next steps in repairing the rug.

Our felt ball products are best cleaned by shaking or beating. myfelt rugs can also be vacuum cleaned as normal, but it is important not to use the brush attachment as this can damage the structure of the felt over time.
We use purely ecological dyeing methods, which means that the lanolin (the natural fat in sheep's wool) is particularly high. The result is extremely durable, stain and water resistant products. Should you spill any liquid on your myfelt product, it will not absorb immediately (similar to the lotus effect) and can be wiped away with a damp cloth. If the stain has penetrated, it can usually be removed with a mild soap or detergent, warm water and a sponge.
Our rugs are made in such a way that after many years of use you can turn them over and enjoy a virtually new rug! Take also a look on our care page.
